BusinessWebMarketer.com is a resource for business clients who want to utilize the internet as a profitable marketing channel
Do Your Research - Build Your Site - Market and Advertise - Respond to Visitors.
Do it yourself - if you want to. This is my "power washing theory". I have a friend who cleans decks for a living. I told him to put up a website to show people how they can "do-it-yourself". He thought I was nuts! My theory is this. Anybody can powerwash their deck, but it still sucks doing it! So, you can either do it yourself, or you can hire us. It's up to you. We're quite reasonable.
I will show exactly the steps to go through to build a beautiful, interactive web site that gets results. I've even simplified the process, recognizing that most small businesses need simple straight forward methodology that is easy to manage. Building a web strategy is not difficult but it can be tedious and it can distract you from what you should be doing for your business. Many business owners will recognize this and hopefully push some business my way (you can probably tell, I'm not bashful). Some of you micro-managers will go through the process and more power to you!
We definitely want your small business focused on the power of a well thought out web strategy. Especially in this economy, as your resources tighten up, the web can deliver efficiencies to all aspects of your business processes. That especially includes sales and marketing. The biggest advantage you can have is a defined strategy BEFORE you just go throw up on the web (sorry, I can get a little graphic at times).
Ultimately, you should think of your website as a generic office requirement...kind of like Microsoft Office used to be (and still is). We all still use Microsoft Office but we don't really think much about it. It's interesting how the computer has turned us ALL into secretaries. The smaller your business, the more you can relate to this. That said, you should consider the fact that your website should be as ubiquitous as your Office Software. AND it should be as easy to use. Well, it can be and for your sake and the sake of your business, it NEEDS to be.
